New Record Label
This past week, I did something I thought I’d never do again—I signed a new record contract with a new record label. The decision to make such a move wasn’t taken lightly. Lots of careful planning, pondering, and praying went into the matter. After releasing several projects as an independent artist, I knew that the only label deal I’d ever consider signing again would have to be the right one.
My partner label is called Soul Stride Records and is part of the EMI Gospel Distribution system. I love the name, of course, since I love anything with the word “soul” in it. I also love the vision for the label—to make unique, creative music that doesn’t fit a particular mold.
Soul Stride’s CEO, Aaron Rice, is a phenomenal Grammy-nominated songwriter. He and I share a love for Pop/R&B music.
When Aaron first listened to my new CD, I was so grateful that he loved it. I was excited to find a champion that believed my music could help bridge the gap between the two worlds of Christian music and mainstream. This has always been my desire. Collectively, we are passionate about making great music that will reach out to a broader audience that will inspire them through my songs and stories.
The more we discussed the music and our visions for sharing it, the more I realized that Soul Stride/EMI would make a great partner.
I’m so looking forward to the future with this new venture. Many exciting things are in the works already. We’ll keep you posted.

I am excited to hear that you will be producing new music. You are by far one of my favorite artists. I loved your live from New Orleans cd and often use the song Beautiful to encourage other women as well as myself. I pray that God will continue to use you in the music industry – there needs to be more like you who create music that is great for the soul.

I started listening to your music little over a year ago and I love it!!! I bought your Ephemera album and Live from New Orleans on itunes, I listen to it every day. My “christian”husband of 36 yrs left me for another woman, and your music, your words have been perfect and definitely God inspired, they speak right to my heart. I don’t know which one I like the best! (If You Want Me To, Rain….) I am glad that you are excited about a new record label and I pray that God Blesses your new adventure. Do you ever get to the west coast? Up in Washington? NW Canada? There is a Christian Blues Festival in Chilliwack BC Canada that is great, I know the people involved, will recommend they get in touch with you. If you know Larry Howard or Glenn Kaiser ask them about it they have both performed several times. Thanks again for your God inspired music, Love it!! Keep it up!!
Glad to hear about the new label…we need to stand firm in these days and show our faith. You are a blessing my sister, and prayers for you and your music to touch many lives. You have mine.
Blessings to you.
